EXPERIENCE IS EVERYTHING!
We are Muslim women who have discovered that rest and relaxation are essential to peace and stability.
We organize these spiritual retreats in order to give women an outlet to express themselves among those of like mind. Starting in 1998, the first retreat was held in a cottage off of Long Island Sound in Branford, CT. bringing sisters together in a tranquil environment to learn. Those who attended the first one were very inspired and motivated by the topics as well as the sisterhood bonding that occurred. The bond that formed among us confirmed that we needed this type of environment as a way to foster positive personal growth, inwardly and outwardly, as well as increased commitment to Islam.
Each year a different theme is chosen and the presentations are geared toward increasing one in taqwa and iman. Working to help one another achieve mindfulness in worship benefits not only our sisterhood but our society as well.
